“Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints, to those who turn to him in their hearts.” —Psalm 85:8
The St. Anthony of Padua Novena began at Christ the King Church in the 1950’s and continues each year, at Good Samaritan, on the nine consecutive Tuesdays leading to the feast day of St. Anthony in June. Mass is celebrated at 7:00 PM each Tuesday, at Good Samaritan, and is followed by novena prayers. The closing novena Mass on week nine is followed by an outdoor procession that carries the statue of St. Anthony and a reception in Jericho Hall.
The St. Anthony Novena Committee begins meeting in February to plan the liturgies and events for the upcoming year. Everyone is welcome to attend Mass, Novena, and all other functions associated with this group.
