“I have chosen him, that he may charge his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice.” —Genesis 18:19
Christ chose to be born and grow up in the Holy Family of Joseph and Mary. The goal of Family Ministry is to mirror the Holy Family by supporting the family home, called “the domestic church,” as the first school of Christian life; keeping the Word of God and the teachings of the Church central to each family; and providing intergenerational opportunities for all parishioners to build their relationship with the Church family of God.
Based in the Beaver Valley, monthly faith-based activities teach children about their Catholic identity as they develop new friendships within the parish; parents enjoy adult companionship with other Catholics; and older parishioners serve as role models and mentors for the younger families.
